Common questions
Does it really work in airplane mode?
Yes. Open your flight before you board so it has the latest data. In the air, AeroCue uses your phone's GPS (allow location "While Using" or "Always") and, without a GPS fix, an estimate from the flight's timing. Everything it shows says whether it's live, from GPS, or an estimate.
Why is the plane in a slightly different place from other apps?
Positions come in every few minutes and the plane is moved smoothly in between. Small differences, especially on approach, are normal and correct themselves with the next update.
Why doesn't it show my gate or terminal yet?
Airports announce gates close to departure, and some never send them to flight data. You can add a terminal yourself from your booking; the live data takes over when it arrives.
Where's my baggage belt?
It shows as soon as the airport sends it. Many airports only show it on their own screens, so check the baggage hall screens too.
How do I link connecting flights?
Add the second flight and AeroCue asks whether it's a connection. You can also open the first flight and add a connecting flight from there.
Do I need an account?
No. An account (Sign in with Apple) is only for backing up your flights and keeping a paid upgrade across devices.
How do I delete my data?
Delete a flight by swiping it on the Flights tab. To remove your account and backup from our server: Settings → Account → Delete account. See the privacy policy.
